I was commissioned for these designs by WSU’s Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. The design was for one of their date party events, “Splish Splash.” I worked closely with their event chair to create a design that depicted the event accurately.

The “Splish Splash” design was created using fun colors that represented summer, as this event was for early fall. I was inspired by vintage surfing photos for the wave. I was also inspired by flower power art of the 70s for the sun and handcrafted typography.
